Acappella Man??

Our wonderful son is following in his parents' footsteps. In some cases, this would be bad, but this is great. Our boy loves his Acappella. He now sings all over the house and requests songs. Coming from a non-talking child...this is big. If you want to get technical it is really Vocal Union that he seems to like the most, but he can still be heard taking parts with his daddy when they sing Acappella. The boy, at 6, can hear and sing a different part than Tony. Gotta love it!! If you've never heard the groups from the Acappella Ministries, you are seriously missing out. Never will you hear such moving, inspirational, and incredible music. The things these guys do with their voices is unbelievable. Anyway, I've been tempted to send in Gabe's demo for the next round of tryouts. We may finally be able to join the Acappella family...in a few years... Maybe it is the Acappella Lullabies that he insists on going to sleep by... Or the connection of the fact that that CD was a gift to us from one of their members... Maybe it is the fact his parents probably would never have gotten married if it weren't for Acappella... Hopefully he'll get to meet Keith Lancaster when our church hosts him for a Praise and Harmony workshop in January (think I'll get to go??). And I have high hopes that our daughter will follow the same path since we found out about her just a week before attending Acafest. That is where my morning sickness kicked in...nothing like a road trip with nausea!!

That is great! Music is a great communicator. It may be just the key for a break through for your son.

Play it again, Sam!

I've been a big fan since I was about 2, listening to Conquerors and Better Than Life on cassette on the way to church with my parents. I'm 18 now, and I'm a bigger acappella junkie than ever. I've learned tons about music and singing from the TAC. If he's anything like me, eventually he will be singing so much it may get annoying haha, but let him do it because getting better at praising God is not a bad thing to spend your time on. There have been other members of these groups that have grown up being big fans and now sing with them! that's my plan haha.
